How do I record a timelapse in Photoshop?
Install Recky, open Photoshop and open the Recky panel from the Plugins menu. From then on, every document you open is recorded automatically. When the painting is done, click Export Video and Recky turns the captures into a timelapse.
Do I have to press record every time?
No. Recky starts recording as soon as a document is open. If you press Stop, the PSD remembers it and stays paused the next time you open it.
Does Recky work on Windows and Mac?
Yes. Recky runs in Photoshop on Windows and macOS. One license activates one computer.
How long is the timelapse video?
You choose: 10, 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds. Recky spaces the captures out to fill that length, whether you painted for 20 minutes or 20 hours.
What resolution can I export?
720p, HD (1080p), 2K or 4K. Good for speedpaint videos on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, or for showing your process to clients.
Where are the recordings saved?
Each document gets its own folder in Documents\Recky. You can change the folder at any time from the panel.
